Navarre is an unincorporated community located in Santa Rosa County in the Florida Panhandle. It is close to Navarre Beach and only 4 miles from the beachfront of the Gulf of Mexico. Its population includes many met military personnel, federal civil servants, defense contractors and retirees who choose this small community as their home. According to U.S. Census data, it has approximately 42,000 residents.
Navarre is served by the Santa Rosa County district, which is headquartered in Milton, Florida. It is served by a high school, two intermediate schools, two middle schools, and a primary school. The high school has a student to teacher ratio of 24:1 and offers an excellent learning environment.

Navarre is about 25 miles from Pensacola and 15 miles from Fort Walton Beach. It is also only about 28 miles from the historic Milton, which is a community that is older than Florida itself.
